Training to understand mental ill health in racially diverse communities, including stigma, racism, cultural factors and effective support strategies.
Different communities understand and talk about mental health in different ways. In some communities, mental health problems are rarely spoken about and may be viewed negatively, creating barriers to open discussion and engagement with health services. This course explores how mental ill‑health affects racially diverse communities, the impact of racism and discrimination, and how organisations can respond positively and supportively.
